Found this lake on a day trip from Payson, AZ to Winslow, AZ. Nice size lake with lots of camping sites and very nice community use park. I took a hike on the camp site side then fished on the park side. Made for a nice side trip on a day full of driving.
The "facilities" could be better and looks a bit run down and not well maintained. Overall would be a nice spot for a kayak or paddle board.
I liked this park the creek is a nice sight n peaceful I think the should clean the trash up but it's not as bad.
This was our first spot in Arizona and it was beautiful. The birding was fantastic & the sunsets were epic. At the end of October, start of November nobody was hardly there. Nice free park with 14 day limit not far from town.
I live 1 mile from here. Camping, picnics, swimming, fishing, cliff diving and hiking. Bring an innertube, paddleboard, canoe, or kayak and enjoy a relaxing float for miles through the high walled canyons of Clear Creek. Or just laze around the large reservoir at the park. Bring a boat or jet ski for some fun or fishing away from the crowds by the main picnic areas. Always be aware of the monsoons or inclement weather which can bring the possibility of flash floods from upstream. Have fun
