Was nice view to the west but a eye sore to the south.
Beautiful hidden gem. You wouldn't know it was there if you didn't pull in. Go up the dirt road to the north, it has the best views. There did not seem to be a safe way to go down but maybe if you walked along the rim you could find one.
Beautiful place. The scenery is awesome
Surreal atmosphere. We were lucky enough to find a way down. It is a tough hike, but definitely worth it. Tons of petrified wood! Restrooms look to be permanently closed. Parking lot and gravel road is very rough and bumpy.
Pretty difficult to find. You realize its beauty when you're actually there. You drive on the Rim Road, find a parking spot, then find a good place where you could actually walk down and enjoy the view. Not an easy hike but worth it. Please note: this is the real Painted Desert, not the one that shows up on gps.
