For good Mexican & American food Brown Mug is the place to go. Family owned it served customers traveling route 66 & is still serving to this day.
Some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten! Small hole-in-the-wall spot, but the staff and food are amazing. Highly recommended!
I haven't been to brown mug in a few years. But took my husband tonight who has never been and was raving all about how great it was. He ordered the shredded beef tacos. He loved them. I ordered the shredded beef enchiladas with green chili. But what I got was not shredded beef. Didn't look anything like my husband's beef in his tacos. You know brown and shredded. Mine looked more like cat food. It was pink and crumbly. I'm not sure what I had started eating but it was not shredded beef. I ate the rice and beans. But after a few bites of the enchilada I couldn't do it. I had to run out of their before I threw up on the table. I won't be coming back. Oh and the soda machine was broke. Sad night I was so embarrassed I talked so highly of it. But my husband enjoyed his dinner. It wasn't worth what money I spent.

Small, quaint hometown cafe. Recommended by worker at the meteor crater. Had daily special - two tacos and enchiladas refried beans and rice. Was surprised by waitress who brought over fried bread and a jar of honey after meal! What a wonderful treat. Bathrooms need a little sprucing up however overall was a quaint place and would go back again.
